Accreditation
The USM Psy.D. Program submitted an accreditation self-study to APA in May 2009. On 17 August 2009 the Program received detailed feedback from APA indicating that we are not yet ready for a site visit. APA has requested specific additional information and clarification. We have until 1 February 2010 to submit this information and the new earliest date for a site visit is Fall of 2010. Program faculty will meet to discuss the next steps in September 2009. Please remember that no program is APA accredited until both a self-study is approved and a site visit team approves the program. That means our program remains non-accredited at this time.
Please know that we remain fully committed to obtaining APA accreditation as soon as possible, and the good news is that the detailed feedback provided by APA gives us clear guidance on the next steps.
