The CEHD Community Scholarship is an endowed scholarship was established at the University of Southern Maine in 2006 by the faculty, staff, and friends of the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). The award is made to a student of good standing in the College of Education and Human Development who best exemplifies contribution in a learning community. Preference is given to candidates who demonstrate contribution to a CEHD learning community.

Past recipients of the CEHD Community Scholarship:

Scot Goodwin, 2007-2008
As an educational technician who was completing his teacher certification in ETEP Unified K-8, Scot exemplified his role in professional learning community by facilitating a history club for his school's middle school students.

Rebecca Lamb, 2008-2009
As an ETEP Unified K-8 student, Rebecca exemplified her role in a professional learning community by thoroughly understanding the definition of the learning community and applying it to her internship school-based sites.
