State ESL Endorsement

NEWLY ADOPTED ESL ENDORSEMENT

Effective August 1, 2005, the Maine Endorsement for ESL has changed markedly.
The bilingual education endorsement now permits bilingual educators to select either the ESL endorsement or the foreign language endorsement. A special endorsement has been created for bilingual educators of the Wabanaki tribal language of Passamaquoddy. Those who are endorsed under the previous requirements need only keep their credentials up to date.
