M.S. in Educational Psychology with
a Concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis
Program Requirements (33
credits)
The
Applied Behavior Analysis concentration within the M.S. in Educational
Psychology requires 33 credit hours of coursework. The program may be
completed on either a full-time or part-time basis. The program of
study begins in May of the year in which the student is admitted.
This
master of science degree will prepare graduates for becoming a Board
Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Acquiring the BCBA also requires
completion of 1,500-hour supervised work in a school or agency that
provides ABS-based services. The supervised work must be completed
under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The
supervised work can take place while the coursework is being completed.
Students must obtain a Master’s Degree before sitting for the BCBA
examination.
Only two (2) Educational Psychology courses
(up to six credits) may be taken prior to admission. Those prospective
applicants who wish to take a course prior to applying or being
admitted to the program may want to start with one of the following:
