GUIDELINES
Application Deadlines:
Friday, November 3, 2006, 4:00 pm. If your
activity/program occurs before this deadline, the
Committee has agreed to review early applications. In
this case, please submit your application as soon as
possible noting the actual dates for which you are
applying.
Friday, February 2, 2007, 4:00 p.m.
Friday, April 27, 2007, 4:00 p.m.
Guidelines:
The
program or activity must provide professional
development opportunities.
Programs that duplicate on-campus programming will not
be funded.
Applications for programs that occur during routine
office hours require supervisory approval.
Funds
may not be used to subsidize office coverage while the
staff member attends the program.
Both
classified and professional staff recipients are
expected to submit a brief activity report to the
Committee. The report should include an overview and
evaluation of the program. The activity reports and all
accompanying expense reports must be submitted within 30
days of the conference/activity. Subsequent
applications will not be considered if the reimbursement
form or the report is missing or incomplete.
The
maximum award for a program/activity is $500; there will
be a minimum of $2500.00 available for classified staff
and $2500.00 available for professional staff.
This
fund is available to all staff members in the College of
Arts and Sciences, so the request to fund the same or
similar conference for more than two years consecutively
will not be funded.
