Career Services &
Professional Life Development offers the following as ways to
meet our students and receive resumes to prescreen candidates for
your recruiting needs. Hosting an information session for groups of
students prior to interviewing makes your time more productive. You
can follow up with students and schedule interviews directly.
We would be happy to schedule a time for you to
highlight your company and openings to interested USM students
through a pre-recruiting seminar. We will advertise your
presentation through flyers, our website and email contact with our
students.
Organizations are expected to provide full and accurate
information relating to their job opportunities and the employment
process. You are also responsible for ensuring the ethical and legal
conduct of your representatives dealing with USM students. If you prefer, we will collect the resumes for you after
the presentation and send them directly to you for you selection of
interviewees. This
service allows you to prescreen applicants before inviting them to
your place of business for an interview.
We will make every effort to provide a space
and audio-visual equipment at no charge. There is a charge if you
order refreshments: the charge will vary depending on your menu
choice. Our office will bill you for these services when applicable.
Please contact Mary Ann Benson
at (207) 780-4695 for more information.
Career Services also offers
the following as ways to connect with our students. These
present a prime opportunity to meet informally with USM students and promote your organization and employment opportunities.
Career Services will sponsor a table for your company to personally connect with USM students. The tables are located in our Woodbury Campus Center and Luther
Bonny Hall in Portland and the Brooks Dining Center in Gorham. These areas will provide you the highest exposure to student traffic.
We will advertise your presentation through
direct email contact with those students that have signed up with
our office. Organizations are expected to provide full and accurate information relating to their job opportunities and the employment process. They are also responsible for ensuring the ethical and legal conduct of their representatives dealing with USM students.
Please contact
Mariah at
(207) 780-5620 for Gorham or Mary
Ann at (207) 780-4220 for Portland and they will make arrangements to reserve an informational table where you could talk with students about your hiring needs.
