Legacy System Transportation Codes - FOB. PeopleSoft Codes not included.

CODE	DESCRIPTION	Definition
AC	Air Express (Collect)	USM pays the transportation costs and does not charge back to the vendor. This is not USM'S preferred way of paying for freight charges because of the difficulty obtaining immediate funds to pay for collect charges.
AP	Air Express (Prepaid)	The vendor pays the transportation costs.
DA	Destination (PPD/ADD)	USM accepts ownership of goods when they reach USM. The vendor is responsible for the condition of the goods in transit, insurance, and filing claims with the carrier. The vendor pays the transportation costs and adds the amount to the invoice.
DC	Destination (Collect)	USM accepts ownership of goods when they reach USM. USM pays the transportation costs and does not charge back to the vendor. This is not USM'S preferred way of paying for freight charges because of the difficulty obtaining immediate funds to pay for collect charges.
DP	Destination Freight Allowed	USM accepts ownership of goods when they reach USM and the vendor pays for the transportation costs. This is USM's preferred method of payment.
EA	Regular Express (PPD/ADD)	The vendor pays the transportation costs and adds the amount to the invoice.
EC	Regular Express (Collect)	USM pays the transportation costs and does not charge back to the vendor. This is not USM'S preferred way of paying for freight charges because of the difficulty obtaining immediate funds to pay for collect charges.
EP	Regular Express (Prepaid)	The vendor pays the transportation costs.
NA	Freight Not Applicable	This purchase does not require transportation.
PU	Pick-up	USM is picking up the item from the vendor.
SA	Shipping Point (PPD/ADD)	USM owns the goods while in transit and is responsible for the condition of the goods in transit, insurance, and filing claims with the carrier. The vendor pays the transportation costs and adds the amount to the invoice.
SC	Ship Point (Collect)	USM owns the goods while in transit, pays for transportation, and does not charge back to the vendor. This is not USM'S preferred way of paying for freight charges because of the difficulty obtaining immediate funds to pay for collect charges
SP	Ship Point Freight Allowed	USM owns the goods while in transit and the vendor is paying for transportation.
VN	Vendor Truck	USM accepts ownership of goods when they reach USM. Delivery is to be made by vendor's truck.
