Tony Payne Tony Payne is the executive director of the Alliance for Maine's Future, a 600+ member non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to educating employers and employees about public policy's relationship to the Maine economy. Before joining the Alliance, he served as vice president of underwriting and marketing with Maine Employers' Mutual and later, as New England Region vice president of communications for OneBeacon Insurance, the state's two largest insurance companies for independent agents. He also was president of Maine Media, an advertising, market research, and public relations company. The firm also specialized in crisis management communications. Tony has been involved in civic affairs for more than 30 years including service as the chairman of the board of the Institute for Civic Leadership. Tony is a graduate of Cheverus High School and Hobart College where he earned his bachelor of arts degree in political science. He is a native of Portland and a resident of Falmouth where he and his wife are raising three boys.
