Debra L. Coyman
IDEXX Laboratories, Inc.

Debra currently serves IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. as division vice president of human resources. She joined IDEXX in 1994, and has held a variety of positions throughout the company, including management roles in marketing, business development, strategic planning and project management. Prior to IDEXX, Debra worked in the agricultural biotechnology sector in business development and planning roles. She also has experience in the financial sector, as a commercial loan officer and as a venture capital analyst.

Debra earned a B.A. in history, cum laude , from Yale College and a master's in business administration with high distinction from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. She has also earned a certificate in conflict management from the University of Southern Maine.

Debra's community activities currently include: Trustee, Gulf of Maine Research Institute; Past President, Portland Stage Company; Member, Board of Visitors, University of Southern Maine. Previous non-profit board involvement has included: Trustee, Jobs for Maine 's Graduates; Member, State of Maine Research Capacity Committee. In addition, Debra sings in the choir and plays handbells for Foreside Community Church in Falmouth.

Debra grew up in northern New Jersey, and has lived and worked in New York City, Boston, Boulder, San Francisco, and Philadelphia. She currently lives in Falmouth, and enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and kayaking all over Maine and the U.S.
