Head Coach
Wayne St. Peter
In his first
five years of coaching Division III college tennis,
Coach Wayne St. Peter's players have won six singles
and three doubles titles at the Little East
Conference Championships; in addition, the team
placed second in the Tennis Hall of Fame Grass Court
Tennis Championships during the 1999 season.
St. Peter has also successfully coached high school
tennis for 11 years. During the last five years
coaching high school tennis, his teams had a record
of 49 wins and seven losses. The founder of the
Grand Slam Tennis Camps and the USM summer Match
Play Tennis Camp; he coaches more than 500 juniors
each year.
A professional tennis instructor certified by the
United States Professional Tennis registry for 17
years, St. Peter was recently upgraded to
Professional 4A by the USPTR. He was nominated for
the USPTR International Humanitarian of the year
Award in 1999 and also has recived the Jack Lynch
Award for the top junior tournament of 1999 in New
England from USTA\New England.
St. Peter teaches tennis professionally at the
Portland Athletic Club in Falmouth, Maine.
