Wilson Named All-New England
For the second year in a row, Kelly Wilson has been named to the third team All-New England squad. Kelly had a fabulous season and we are all glad that she was recognized.
We had our team dinner on November 22 and it went quite well. The six players who made the All-Conference Teams received certificates; the seniors (Katie, Kelly, & Pam) each received a photo album with the press releases from each of our games this year. The team was also kind enough to present a gift to both me and Amanda. I was given a book of brain-teasers and a framed team picture with an inscription. Amanda was given a basket full of Bath & Body stuff. They could be giving her a hint.
Also at the dinner, the out going captains named next season's captains. They are Sarah Drury and Leah Cloutie, two very fine and capable choices. I am very confident that behind their leadership, they will carry us into the playoffs.
Homecoming:
Alumni weekend next year is slated for September 17th - 19th. We will be having an Alumni game on that Saturday. Please make what ever arrangments you need to, to be there. On that Sunday we have a game at Bowdoin. Kick-off is at 2 pm.. It would be nice to see all the Alumni there.
6 v 6 Tournament:
Sunday April 18, 1999 is the date for our 6 v 6 Tournament. I am hoping to have an Alumni team participate, and we already have a commitment from four players. Just need a few more. Don't be shy.
Donations:
I would like to thank everyone who has sent in donations and money to help get the Records Book ready. Everyone should have them by Christmas time.
Besides recruiting, which is going very well, things are pretty slow here. However, it will pick up when we start the 2nd semester. So, until then, have a wonderful and safe holiday and New Year's!
