Head Coach
Anne Tricomi
After a two year hiatus from varsity competition, USM volleyball will return under the direction of first-year head coach Anne Tricomi. Tricomi will lead the Huskies back to the court beginning in the Fall of 2009. Tricomi joined the University of Southern Maine Huskies Athletic Department in July and has accepted the task of reviving the volleyball team and making the Huskies a contender within the highly competitive Little East Conference.
Most recently the head coach for the Portland North Junior Olympic Club (an 18-and-under gold level premier Maine-based volleyball team) in Portland, Maine, Tricomi has further experience serving as an assistant coach for Division III programs Bowdoin and Colby College and Division II Bentley College (Waltham, Mass.).
A four-year letter winner for the Colby College Mules, Tricomi, an outside and right side hitter, was the team captain in 2001 as a senior, earning the 110% Hustle Award in 1999. Tricomi also has playing experience with the University of Michigan Women's Club team as various teams in the Maine State Volleyball Association.
Tricomi earned her bachelor's degree in English and Classical Civilizations with a minor in Education from Colby College in 2002. She received her Master's degree in Health Behavior from the University of Michigan.
