commented Bean.
"He brings an outstanding work ethic to this position. In addition, he possesses superior
knowledge, and is an outstanding teacher, of the game. His love and respect for the game is
inspiring and will no doubt by contagious among the players.
"I look forward to a resurgence of the men’s soccer program under Bobby’s leadership. With
his broad knowledge, strong work ethic, burning desire to succeed and baseline goal of team
discipline, I expect USM men’s soccer to reach new levels of success," added Bean.

head coach Shawn Griffin’s staff. During that period, the Panthers posted a combined 74-21-7
record, won the Little East Conference title four times and made three appearances in the NCAA
Division III tournament. He has also been involved with the New Hampshire Soccer Association’s
Olympic Development program.
A 1994 graduate of New Hampshire College, Murphy played two seasons (1991-1992) for the
Penmen scoring seven goals and three assists in 40 career games. He also played two seasons at
Clemson University before transferring to NHC.
