Monday, October 25, 2004 For Immediate Release CRACOLICI NAMED SPORTS INFORMATION ASSISTANT AT UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MAINE GORHAM, Maine -- Christina Cracolici, formerly the Sports Information Director at Wellesley College (Wellesley, Mass.) has been named Sports Information Assistant at the University of Southern Maine. Cracolici served as the Sports Information Director at Wellesley College for two years, overseeing media relations for Wellesley's 12 intercollegiate sports. Prior to her appointment at Wellesley, Cracolici served as an Athletic Communications Assistant at Colgate University (Hamilton, N.Y.), working primarily with women's basketball, men's soccer, men's and women's tennis and women's lacrosse. While obtaining her master's degree at East Stroudsburg University (East Stroudsburg, Pa.), Cracolici was the graduate assistant in the sports information department. She developed media guides for men's and women's basketball, men's soccer and women's field hockey while assisting with press releases, web-page maintenance and statistics for basketball, soccer, and football. Also, she was active in the Sport Management Club, serving as the public relations chair, and contributing to the club's newsletter while organizing the game day staffing of the Alumni Golf Tournament. Cracolici earned her bachelor's degree in Sports Management in 1999 from Thomas College (Waterville, Maine). A three-sport athlete, Cracolici played soccer, basketball and softball for the Terriers, captaining the soccer and softball teams and earning all-conference honors in soccer. Cracolici went on to earn her Master's of Education with a Concentration in Sports Management in 2002 from East Stroudsburg. |
