ePortfolio

Dear Colleagues,

I want to thank all of you who have indicated an interest in our pilot ePortfolio project working with Digication and to the faculty who have already agreed to participate. This opportunity is a result of the strong commitment to ePortfolios on the part of CAHS Dean Lynn Kuzma and the support of Susan McWilliams and the Davis Foundation.

The first three chapters of the book Documenting Learning with ePortfolios: A Guide for College Instructors by Light, Chen and Ittelson (2012) are available below. This may help orient and provide information for those of you  who may have questions.  Here is Digication's website for people to explore: http://www.digication.com/

Additionally, several faculty members have asked, How much time will this take? Each faculty member will be required to partake in Digication's Webinar which will provide an orientation on the uses of ePortfolio in your classes as well as an overview of the Digication product and how it works.  We also expect to have an orientation meeting as well as a check in during the semester where faculty can show their work.  All told, beside your individual work on your courses, expect to spend roughly five hours in additional time on the pilot project fall semester. Additionally we will have access to all applications and assessments with this pilot program.   If you are undertaking program review and need to focus on assessment, we will be getting a group together to focus on that separately.

Thank you.
