Student Groups

The following ASET Student Groups are recognized members of the USM Board of Student Organizations. ASET students are encouraged to become actively involved in the trade organizations of their chosen field, many of which have student chapters. Faculty, staff and advisors can assist new and returning students in finding and/or leading the student activities best suited to their future career interests and goals.

 

Department of Computer Science

ACM - Association for Computing Machinery

The ACM Student chapter is an active student group in the Department of Computer Science located in the Science Building on the Portland campus.


Department of Engineering

IEEE - Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers

Student chapter meetings are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Department of Engineering, John Mitchell Center, Room 151, Gorham campus. Check the Web site for membership information.


Department of Environmental Science

DES - Department of Environmental Science Student Group

This student group engages in interesting activities and projects relating to the environment, and operates out of the DES office in 106 Bailey on the Gorham campus.
