Students on campus

ASET Student Groups

The following ASET Student Groups are recognized members of the USM Board of Student Organizations. ASET students are encouraged to become actively involved in the trade organizations of their chosen field, many of which have student chapters. Faculty, staff and advisors can assist new and returning students in finding and/or leading the student activities best suited to their future career interests and goals.

Department of Technology

There was a meeting in April 2007 to discuss establishing a Department of Technology student organization, hosted by Greg Bazinet, Director of External Programs. For information about becoming a member of this student group, send an e-mail to bazinet@usm.maine.edu.

Department of Computer Science
The ACM Student chapter is an active student group in the Department of Computer Science located in the Science Building on the Portland campus.

Department of Engineering:

Student chapter meetings are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Department of Engineering, John Mitchell Center, Room 151, Gorham campus. Check the Web site for membership information. Go to the ASET Calendar of Upcoming events for current happenings.
