The USM Art Department proudly presents an exhibit of its graduating emerging artists. B.F.A. Exhibitions represent culminating educational experiences for art majors graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Art degree. This exhibit is typically the student’s first major presentation of a cohesive group of work. This year, a total of 22 students will display their rich and eclectic variety of styles and approaches including drawings, paintings, sculpture, installation, video, and printmaking at the Gorham and Portland locations of USM Art Galleries. Participating students include:

This year, USM Art Department has total graduating class of 58 students, 22 of whom are in the BFA degree program. Serving over 300 art students, the USM Art Department offers a B.F.A. degree with studio concentrations in ceramics, digital art, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, and sculpture. Additional degree options are: B.F.A. degree in Art Education; B.A. in Studio Art; B.A. in Studio Art and Entrepreneurial Studies; and a B.A. in Art History.

International study opportunities are available. The faculty consists of approximately 12 full and 12 part-time practicing professionals that exhibit and publish regionally, nationally, and internationally.

They are leaders in initiating art events and activities in greater Portland and throughout Maine.

Art Gallery, Gorham Hours:
Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 4 pm
Saturday and Sunday, 1-5 pm
