Trudy Wilson

Trudy Wilson, Art Education faculty, is co-President of the Maine Art Education Association (MAEA) and a member of the Board of Directors for the Maine Alliance for Arts Education (MAAE). Last year, she co-chaired the committee that up-dated the MAEA Visual Arts Curriculum Framework, a document to be used for art curriculum development in Maine.

Her art work was included in three MAEA exhibits. Two computer image/mixed media pieces were in the Maine Art Gallery show and an oil pastel drawing was included in the USM exhibit last spring. She has an oil pastel drawing in the fall MAEA exhibit at UMA.

As a service to art teachers and student teachers, Trudy has organized the Art Education Consortium (AEC), a professional development group for art teachers who regularly work with our art education students. The AEC had its first workshop “Assessment in Art Education” on November 4. Another workshop is being planned for the spring semester. This group has it own web site for idea exchange and information dissemination.
