Duncan Hewitt has exhibited work for the last twenty-five years including a 1995 solo show at the ICON Contemporary Art in Brunswick , Maine . a 1989 3 person “Perspectives” show at the Portland Museum of Art, and a 1994 one person show at Dartmouth College. A Colby College graduate with a M.F.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, Hewitt is a professor who has been responsible for the development of the sculpture program. His materials include wood, both roughly sawn and refined, fabric, and metal. In his work there is a evidence of a passion for subject, technique and design.
