Within the Art Department's Sculpture Program students are introduced to the various traditional sculptural approaches including additive, subtractive, and replacement processes. Students are also given a more in depth familiarity with woodshop and welding techniques. With this as a base, students are encouraged to pursue their individual directions with a close guidance by faculty and a strong sense of community between students. Thus, no style or conceptual orientation predominates. Emerging from the program students are active as studio artists and have gone on to nationally acclaimed graduate programs.
