Mature Dimensions: 65-100 feet in height with a 60-80 foot width

Habit: Open, rounded wide-spreading habit with massive branches

Bark: Creamy-gray bark exfoliates to olive green

Buds: Diverge from stem at 45 ° angle; terminal is absent. ¼ inch long, conical and bluntly pointed with a smooth texture and reddish brown coloring

Leaves: Simple, alternate, 3-5 lobed with a sparingly toothed margin, 3-6 inches long. Medium green leaves turn to yellow-brown in autumn

Flowers: Monoecious; borne with leafout in April, globose and inconspicuous

Fruit: Rounded burr-like structure houses multiple seeds and persists in winter; borne in pairs on a stalk

Pests/ Diseases: Sycamore lace bug and cankerstain fungus
