Mature Dimensions:  20 feet tall by 20-25 feet wide

Habit:  Dense, upright spreading habit

 

Bark:  Shiny gray; scaly on older trunks

Buds:  Ovoid, with several reddish brown scales that are hairy on the underside

Leaves:  Simple, alternate, 2 ½” by 1 ¼”, serrated margin; dark green ages to yellow in autumn

 

Flowers:  Single; emerging buds red to pink; open white

Fruit:  Orange-red, 1/2 inch diameter, persist into December

 

Pests/Diseases:  Highly resistant to all pests and disease that plague maluses
