   AMS 565 – Molecular Microbiology

This graduate level molecular microbiology course emphasizes the fundamental importance of the microbial world in human health and disease and current understanding of selected topics in the biology and molecular genetics of bacterial and eukaryotic microbes and their viruses. The molecular foundations of microbial pathogenesis and host-pathogen interactions and co-evolution are explored in the context of important human and animal diseases.

Prerequisites: undergraduate biology, biochemistry, and permission of the instructor
