What
does Non-Matriculated mean?
Non-matriculated means
the student has not applied to USM and/or has not been admitted
in a degree program.
Non-matriculated students may register on a
space-available basis for courses providing the student meets
the prerequisites for the course. Non-matriculated students,
while not required to apply for admission, should be aware that,
in addition to meeting Department/School/College/University
requirements, a minimum of 30 USM credits must be taken as a
matriculated USM degree student in order to receive a
baccalaureate degree.
Non-matriculated students may register
during Open Registration which occurs during the three working
days prior to the start of the semester. Click on the link below

Students
may register one of three ways:
1) In person at the
Registrar’s Office,
113 Corthell Hall on the Gorham Campus.
2) In person at
Advising Services, 119
Payson Smith on the Portland Campus.
Payment
Payment is required of all students who
register during Open Registration. If payment is not made you
will be dropped from your courses. The
USM Student Billing
Office can offer more information about payment options.
