Undergraduate Curriculum
The undergraduate curriculum at USM (with the exception of Associate
Degree programs) consists of 2 main components: the Core and the major.
Any credit hours (out of the required minimum of 120) that are not absorbed
by these two components can be devoted to a minor, a second major, or general
electives.
The purpose of the curriculum as a whole is to help the student develop
the intellectual skills and the knowledge and understanding they will need
to thrive in a challenging world.
A minimum of 120 credits (60 credits for an Associate degree) and a
G.P.A of 2.0 are required to graduate.
