Purpose
A degree audit lists classes students have taken that fulfill
Core areas and required classes for specific majors and minors.
A degree audit can help in creating an academic plan by showing
students the remaining courses needed to be completed within
a chosen area of study.
Degree Audit is a computer generated profile of a student's
academic work that evaluates requirements for a particular
degree program as well as Core curriculum. It is an advising
tool that will itemize what is required for the completion
of a degree program at USM.
Students can get a copy of their
degree audit through Student Information (WebDSIS) in all USM computer labs, from
the Registrar's Office in Gorham, or from Enrollment Services
in Portland.

Individual Exceptions to Degree and Core Requirements
Some students may receive waivers or course substitutions
for various program or Core requirements. All individual
changes to a student's degree requirements must be submitted
to the Registrar in writing from the appropriate department
head. Once changes are approved, the Registrar will apply
these waivers or substitutions to the students degree audit. NOTE:
If the student's major changes, any changes made to the degree
audit will NOT accompany the change of major.
