Scholarships

Undergraduate Admission administers scholarships to incoming first-year and transfer students. We invite you to learn more about the different scholarships available to incoming first year and transfer students. These awards, including a variety of merit-based scholarships, transfer scholarships, and others, acknowledge those high school seniors and entering transfer students who exhibit exceptional scholastic success.

Please note: Unless otherwise specified in the description for a particular scholarship (with a link provided), there are no scholarship applications for scholarships for incoming first-year and transfer students. All eligible incoming students who apply for admission to USM by the deadline indicated for each scholarship are automatically considered for applicable scholarships, and recipients are notified in writing if they have been awarded a scholarship.

Scholarships for current USM students are managed through the Student Success Centers. Scholarships available to applicants

• First Year Students: To be eligible, students must have a completed application (including required materials) by April 1. No additional application form is necessary.

• Transfer Students

• Other Scholarships: Several departments within the University are also able to award scholarships to USM students. Many of these awards are reserved for continuing students.
