The USM Office of Undergraduate Admission invites you to learn more about the merit scholarships available to entering first year and transfer students. These awards, including the Presidential Scholarships and the Opportunity Scholarship, acknowledge those high school seniors and entering transfer students who exhibit exceptional scholastic success.

To be eligible, students must apply for full-time fall admission by February 1. For more information, visit the first-year scholarships web page. No additional application form is necessary.

Other scholarships are available for current or continuing students. Several departments within the University are also able to award scholarships to USM students. Many of these awards are reserved for continuing students.
