College of Education and Human Development

Good teachers have some of the greatest impact on the development of the young minds that will become tomorrow’s leaders. If you’re an aspiring elementary and middle school teacher, our Teachers for Elementary and Middle Schools (TEAMS) program is for you. As part of your bachelor’s degree, you can also get teaching certificates in fine arts, foreign languages, music, and math education through the College of Arts and Sciences.

Most of the programs in the College are graduate-level programs designed for already-accomplished practitioners in K-12 education; K-12 educational leadership; adult education; school psychology; and counseling.

To find out more about our programs for undergraduates, explore the TEAMS site or contact us via e-mail or phone. We’re ready to answer questions, talk with you about your future teaching plans and how you can prepare for those goals here at USM.
