The Abilities and Disabilities Studies (ADS) Program is designed for teachers who wish to study student exceptionalities, including special education and gifted and talented.  The ADS Program is an in-service program designed for professionals who are currently working in an educational or youth services field.

Teaching Students with Mild to Moderate Disabilities The Educational Psychology and Exceptionalities Department is pleased to announce a new program in Teaching Students with Mild to Severe Disabilities. This new concentration within the M.S. in Abilities and Disabilities Studies is for those who wish to pursue initial teacher certification in special education ranging from mild to severe disabilities ("282 and "282" certification).
