The Award for Excellence in Language Study

This book award is presented on CAS Recognition Day to seniors who have demonstrated a record of excellence in advanced courses and who have shown evidence of interest in the chosen language beyond work in the classroom.

The Lisa Quatrano Memorial Book Award

Presented on CAS Recognition Day, this book award recognizes a student for extraordinary perseverance and enthusiasm in the study of a foreign language. These qualities exemplify the spirit of Lisa Quatrano, for whom the award is named.

Phi Sigma Iota - The International Foreign Language Honor Society

An invitation to join the Kappa Nu Chapter of Phi Sigma Iota is extended to those students who demonstrate dedication to and achivement in foreign language scholarship. Phi Sigma Iota honors juniors and seniors who (a) have at least a B average in all college work and all foreign-language courses; (b) have completed at least one course at the 3rd year level; and (c) rank in the upper 35% of their class in general scholarship.
