SHELTON WALDREP is Associate Professor of English at the University of Southern Maine, where he directs the Graduate Certificate in Theory, Literature, and Culture. He has published most recently in Victorian Afterlife: Postmodern Culture Rewrites the Nineteenth Century (Minnesota UP) and Productive Postmodernism: Consuming Histories and Cultural Studies (Suny UP). A co-author of Inside the Mouse: Work and Play at Disney World (Duke UP) and editor of The Seventies: The Age of Glitter in Popular Culture (Routledge), his next book is The Aesthetic of Self-Invention: Oscar Wilde to David Bowie (Minnesota UP).
